Photos & artifacts
Help us keep what would otherwise get lost.
A lot of TAMECT and TAMU EMS history isn't written down anywhere. It's in shoeboxes, old phones and other people's memories. We'd like to gather it before it disappears.
What we're looking for
- Photos. Crews, ambulances and equipment, events you covered, the station and the people in it.
- Documents. Rosters, schedules, protocols, newsletters, certificates, training materials.
- Objects. Patches, uniform pieces, name tags, anything with a story. We only need a photo of it; keep the original.
- Stories. Even a few sentences. The date, what happened, and who was there is plenty.
How to share it
- Don't send your only copy. Scan or photograph it and keep the original.
- Tell us what it is. Roughly when, where, and who is in it. Names matter most, and they're the first thing to be forgotten.
- Send it to us. Email us a note about what you have and we'll work out the easiest way to get it, since large files don't fit in an email. Or start a conversation in the Facebook group.
Before you send
- Only share what you have the right to share. If you took the photo, or it was given to you to keep, that's fine.
- Tell us if someone shouldn't be named or shown. We'll respect that.
- Nothing is published without asking. A public gallery is planned, but nothing goes up until the person who shared it has agreed to exactly what and how.
There's no gallery yet. Right now we're collecting, so nothing you send will appear on this site until we've talked to you.
